Since Camunda BPM supports the BPMN 2.0 standard, you can combine it with any third party modeler that is BPMN 2.0 compliant as well. Usually, this means that you export a BPMN 2.0 XML File from that third party modeler and open it in the Camunda Modeler in order to add technical attributes. You can also import the changed BPMN back into your third party modeler, if that modeler supports BPMN 2.0 XML import. As part of the OMG Model Interchange Working Group (MIWG), we have tested the combination of Camunda with numerous third party products (Modeler specific test cases).
In addition, the web application Camunda Cycle offers a more comfortable way to integrate a third party modeler: Cycle connects to the modeler's repository, extracts the BPMN 2.0 XML and stores it in a file repository (local, Subversion etc.). You can also use Cycle to synchronize the stored BPMN 2.0 XML back into the third party modeler.
This section lists the modelers that you can access via Camunda Cycle.
